Memorial Day

 

Monday, May 29th is Memorial Day. In recognition of this holiday, there is no school.  School will resume on Tuesday, May 3oth with a regular day schedule.

 

2023-34 Continuing Enrollment Process

You may be wondering about residency verification for the 2023-24 school year. Parents of currently enrolled students returning for the next school year will have the opportunity to update required annual information and upload documents. You should have received an email from DoNotReply@cvesd.org for each student on Monday, May 22.

Check your inbox, spam, and junk email folders for the email. Each email will have a your child’s unique snap code. The continuing enrollment process needs to be completed by June 14, 2023. Please contact the front office with any questions regarding the Continuing Enrollment Process.

Lost and Found

We have a large amount of clothing and other student belongings that have been lost over the course of the year. Please stop by the lost and found this week to browse for any of your child’s belongings. Any belongings left after the last day of school will be donated.

Leader in Me Survey

Clear View is conducting a survey to learn more about our implementation of Leader in Me. The survey will help us identify the key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. Although participation is voluntary, we hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and their experience at our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, please think about the oldest child’s experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth.

It’s hard to believe that is the last week of school!  As we head into summer break, please review the upcoming 2023-24 school calendar as you make plans for the next year. All students return for the 2023-24 school year on July 19, 2023. The first day of school is a minimum day.

PTA Executive Board Elections

The PTA is a great way for parents to get involved in the school community – we hope you consider getting involved next year. We look forward to working together with the PTA to further engage our school community in a variety of fun events next year.

On Wednesday, May 24 at 6:00 PM, we will have a virtual association meeting for the purpose of electing our PTA board for the 2023-24 school year. All current PTA members and interested parents are encouraged to attend to participate in the election process. PTA membership is required in order to be eligible to be elected onto the board. Hanover Survey

The Chula Vista Elementary School District prioritizes our school communities’ opinions, perceptions, and needs. Time to Return All Library Books

All library books are due at this time. Please return any library books your child has checked out. We are in the process of inventorying our library and need all books to be returned as soon as possible. Thank you for you help with this!

Staff Appreciation Week

We love and appreciate the teachers and staff at Clear View! Please join us as we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week. Below you will find ideas of how you can show your appreciation throughout the week:

State and Local Measures Testing Calendar

Testing season is in full swing. Students in all grades 3 – 6 will be participating in CAASPP testing this week.

Testing Tips:

  • Arrive on time – Testing will begin promptly at the start of the school day.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast on campus or at home – start the day with a meal that includes healthy energy boosting foods such as eggs or whole wheat toast!
  • Get a good night’s rest – at least 8-10 hours of sleep will prepare students to do their best!
  • Think positive thoughts – you can encourage your child to take slow deep breaths and think of something that makes them happy if they start to feel stressed during the test.
  • Do your best – Our Voyagers will do great! Encourage your child to do their best to show what they know and that they are ready!

Scholastic Book Fair

We’re excited to let you know that the Scholastic Book Fair will be back at Clear View this week! This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading.
