It’s the Great Pumpkin Festival

 

The Great Pumpkin Festival on Friday was just that, GREAT! We would like to extend a huge thank you to our PTA and the countless volunteers who help put on an amazing event for our entire school community. An event like this wouldn’t be possible without a tremendous amount of planning, preparation, and effort to set up and clean up. Thank you as well to everyone who supported the event through donations and attendance. Events like this remind us that it’s great to be a Voyager!

Pennies for Patients

We are beginning the final week of our Pennies for Patients Campaign to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our campaign will run through Friday, November 1. There are two ways to donate. You can donate online or by sending change and/or cash donations to school. We thank you for supporting in this fundraising effort.

Disney Day

On Thursday, October 31 we will be having a Disney Spirit Day. Students can come to school wearing their Disney attire (shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, headbands, etc.). Please remember that costumes are not permitted as part of this spirit day.

Pennies for Patients

We will be participating once again in the Pennies for Patients Campaign to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our campaign will take place from October 14- November 1. We will begin our campaign with a kickoff assembly tomorrow. We thank you in advance for your support in this fundraising effort.

 

 

Red Ribbon Week

 

 

This week is Red Ribbon Week at Clear View. The week will include our first Spirit Week of the year as well as a few other activities. We hope your child will participate in our spirit week.

 

 

 

 

 

It’s the Great Pumpkin Fest

“It’s the Great Pumpkin Fest” will be taking place this Friday, October 25, from 5:00-8:00pm. Don’t forget to bring a bag for collecting candy. Costumes are encouraged; if you plan to wear a costume it must be appropriate for school (masks and weapons are not permitted). Please remember that SAIL behavior is expected from everyone who attends this event.

There will be a presale for wristbands and tickets by the office before and after school from Monday-Thursday only.

 

 

 

 

Candy donations are still needed to be used as prizes for the festival’s carnival games. Look for our “Donation Stations” and ‘feed’ them candy or turn in directly to your child’s classroom. Please, NO gum or hard candy.

ELAC

 

Please join us for our October ELAC meeting.  Our meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 16th at 9:00 am in the Auditorium. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. At our meeting we will talk about ways you can support your child with reading at home. We hope to see you there!

 

Parent Academy

The 5th Annual Parent Academy is just around the corner! The CVESD Parent Academy will take place this Saturday, October 19 at Vista Square Elementary from 7:30 am-12:30 pm. Registration is still open. This is a wonderful opportunity to be trained on how you can support your child’s success in school. Breakfast will be provided. Child care will be available on a first come, fist served basis. We hope to see you at the Parent Academy on Saturday!

A lot of work goes into putting on an event of this scale. The PTA is in need of volunteers to help throughout the afternoon/evening. If you are interested in volunteering for a portion of the time, please reach out to the Clear View PTA at clearviewvoyagerspta@gmail.com.

 

Clear View News – October 7-11

Welcome Back to the Fall Quarter!

The Clear View teachers and staff would like welcome all of our students and families back to school for the second quarter. School resumes for students on Tuesday, October 8. Please remember that Tuesday will be a full day of learning for all students. School begins promptly at 8:45  am with dismissal at 3:07 pm. We look forward to seeing everyone back to school on Tuesday!

School Site Council (SSC) Meeting

We will have our next SSC Meeting on Wednesday, October 9th at 3:30 pm in room 301. All parents are welcome to attend.  We will share our Single Plan for Student Achievement and Comprehensive School Safety Plan. We hope you will join us for the meeting!

The Leader in Me

For the next two weeks we will be focusing on developing Habit #1: Be Proactive. This habit teaches us that we are responsible for ourselves and reminds us that we are “response-able”. We choose our behavior and our mindset. We choose our actions and moods. We can have a “can do” attitude.
