Attendance Matters
Consistent, on time attendance is critical for all students. Please make sure your child arrives to school before 8:45 am and is prepared for the day at school.
This year, we have set a school-wide goal to achieve a 96% daily attendance rate. Currently, our attendance rate for the year is 96.49%.
Historically, the second and third quarters have been the quarters with our lowest daily attendance rates of the year. Last year, during the second quarter, our attendance rate was 95.44%. So far this quarter, we have an attendance rate of 96.47%! Let’s do our best to help keep our students healthy and at school for the next two weeks; let’s finish the quarter strong!
If your child is absent for any reason, please communicate the absence with Alejandra Diaz, our Attendance Secretary, via email at alejandra.diaz@cvesd.org or by phone at (619) 498-3000.

Chat with the Principal
You are invited to a special Chat with the Principal on Thursday, December 11 at 8:50 AM in the school library. This gathering will give us the chance to discuss and share our plans related to the latest board policy on campus access and security. Our closed campus plan and procedures will go into effect when students return from winter break on January 13, 2026. Your input is important as we work together to keep our school safe and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for partnering with us!

As we approach the holidays and Giving Tuesday, a day of global generosity which unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities, we would like to remind families and staff our school’s relationship with the YMCA. As you know, many students at Clear View Elementary participate in programs via the YMCA, including the LEAD Hub and camps housed at schools in our district during breaks. The YMCA is making a difference in our local community, whether it is by offering day camps to our students or swim lessons over the summer.
Thanksgiving Week Break begins on Monday, November 24th and continues through Friday, November 28th. We are truly grateful for the incredible students and families we have the privilege of supporting each day at Clear View. As we head into the break, we hope you’re able to enjoy some well-deserved rest and meaningful time with loved ones. Wishing you a safe, joyful, and restorative holiday and week off!

Positive school attendance is critical for each student. At Clear View we have set the goal of 96% daily attendance for the year. We are off to a great start toward reaching this end of year goal; we finished the first quarter with an average of 96.24% daily attendance!
