We hope that you will join us for our English Learner Advisory Committee parent mixer on Tuesday, August 30 at 9:0o AM in the auditorium for an opportunity to meet and socialize with other parents and learn more about our ELAC. If you are a parent of a multilingual English Learner, we highly encourage you to be part of our ELAC and attend our meetings. • Assisting in the development of the schoolwide needs assessment
  • Developing ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance

We hope to see you on Tuesday morning. Coffee, donuts, and information about ELAC will be provided.

Arrival and Dismissal Traffic

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during arrival and dismissal at Clear View. As you know, we have many vehicles that access our parking lot and drop-off/pick-up areas each morning and afternoon. Last week we continued to have a few cars parked in the drop-off/pick-up loop and along the red curb in the kinder area. Please help us ensure these areas remain clear so school traffic to flow smoothly.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our drop-off and dismissal time.

School Site Council (SSC)

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in being a parent/community representative on our SSC and to those who participated in our election process. The results of the election are in; Heather Bertolero, Yunuen Mora, and Lizette Rodriguez were elected to be representatives on the SSC. Below are the parents representatives that will serve on our School Site Council for the 2022-23 school year:

Campus Clinic – Weekly COVID Testing

All families should have received an email from register@campusclinic.org with the subject line “Welcome to Campus Clinic.” In this email will be a unique pin and a link to register. This email is important, as this year the email is where registration process begins.
If did not receive the link, please check your Spam folder. If you still cannot find the link, contact support@campusclinic.org to have this email re-sent to you.
Here is a brief video on the registration process: https://campusclinic.org/how-to/ .
Weekly testing occurs on Mondays at Clear View. Each week, new registrations must be completed by 8:00 AM on Thursday to begin testing the following Monday.

COVID Safety

We have seen an increase of COVID cases at Clear View over the past week. Please note the following protocols we are following to minimize the spread of COVID on our campus:

  • Screen your child for COVID-like symptoms each day, and do not send them to school if they have symptoms related to COVID-19
    • Symptoms include: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
  • If your child develops any symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19, please ensure they isolate at home immediately and notify the school right away.
  • Please report positive cases using this link: Positive Test Reporting Link (office.com)
  • Although not required, mask use indoors is strongly recommended

Green Meal Application Forms

Although school meals are available for students for no cost again this year, we are requesting all of our families to submit the green meal application form (sent home last week) which determines the State and Federal funding that schools receive. This funding provides students with support and resources for their academic success.

Benefits for your child include:

· Instructional materials

· Classroom technology

· Additional staffing to provide supports for students

· Extended learning opportunities for students

We appreciate your help completing and returning the survey as soon as possible. If you need another form, please stop by the front office and request a copy. Thank you for your help with this!

Arrival and Dismissal Traffic

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during arrival and dismissal at Clear View. As you know, we have many vehicles that access our parking lot and drop-off/pick-up areas each morning and afternoon.

Kinder Lot:

We understand the need for many families to park during arrival and dismissal in order to drop-off and/or pick-up their child. As you know, parking in the kinder lot is limited. It is essential that everyone follows parking lot regulations and refrains from parking along red curbs and unmarked parking spots. This will allow traffic to flow quickly and student and families to safely enter and leave campus in this area.

We encourage the use of the Terra Nova Park parking lot or the surrounding neighborhood for families dropping off and picking up students hand to hand at the TK/Kinder area.

General Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures:

  • Please pull to the curb for drop-off and pick-up to avoid having students walking near moving vehicles.
  • Continue to move as far forward as possible as you work your way through the line and pick up your child. This helps the line continue to move forward.
  • Please do not park in the pick-up/drop-off zone or leave your car unattended in these areas to pick up your child.
  • The bus zone is designated for buses only and please do not park in this area or double park in the bus zone.
  • We encourage families to walk or carpool to school whenever possible. This helps reduce the number of cars driving to campus daily.
  • We encourage the use of the Terra Nova Park parking lot for families dropping off and picking up students hand to hand at the TK/Kinder gate.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our drop-off and dismissal time.  We also appreciate you modeling appropriate and courteous behavior for our Voyagers at all times.

School Site Council (SSC) Election

The Clear View School Site Council (SSC) is composed of five elected parent/community representatives, five elected staff/teacher representatives, and the site principal. The primary role of the SSC is to develop, approve, and monitor the School Plan for Student Achievement.

We have three open parent/community representative positions at this time. Thank you to those who expressed interest in serving on the SSC. The candidates who will appear on the ballot include:

Heather Bertolero

Stacy Clemetson

Yunuen Mora

Lizette Rodriguez

The SSC ballot will be emailed to families on Monday (8/1). Voting will take place from the time the ballots are sent out until 5:00 pm on Friday, August 5th.
