Leader in Me

For the next two weeks we will be focusing on Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw. Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have – you. It is the process of continuously seeking to improve and renew the four areas of your life: heart, mind, body, and spirit. Dr. Stephen R. Covey said, “We must never be too busy sawing that we forget to sharpen the saw.”
At home, spend some time talking ways you can intentionally sharpen the saw. Here are some examples:
- Heart: make social and meaningful connections with others
- Mind: read, write, study, learn new things
- Body: exercise, eat well, rest
- Spirit: spend time in nature, service, inspirational literature, music, art

Kinder Loop Parking Lot

The safety of our students and families during drop-off and pick-up is extremely important to us. In order to ensure the safety of all in our kinder loop parking lot, it is critical that drop off and pick up procedures are followed by all.
As you know, there is limited parking and drop-off space at the curb in the kinder parking lot. However, it is important that cars are not parked and left unattended at any of the red curbs in the parking lot. Not only does parking in the red zones congest the parking lot and impede the flow of traffic, it presents a safety hazard in the case of an emergency. A great alternative for parking is the parking lot on the other side of the park, which has plenty of parking spaces available at dismissal time. The short walk could provide you with a nice opportunity to talk to your child about his/her day.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our drop off and dismissal time. We appreciate you modeling appropriate and courteous behavior for our Voyagers at all times. Thank you.
