Clear View News – September 2 – 6

Week in Review

Many great things took place last week at Clear View! Our teachers continued to work hard to develop the literacy and math skills of all students while intentionally building classroom culture and student leadership abilities. Additionally, students went through their collaboration rotations, receiving dance, drama, and PE instruction. They also had their school pictures taken and participated in the annual bus evacuation drill. Finally, we received our California PBIS Silver Implementation Award last week for our creation and implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) last year. Great job Voyagers!

Cookies and Canvas

Cookies and Canvas was a great success last year! It was well attended and enjoyed by all. Please keep in mind space is limited and admission is only available through PTA’s ticket presale. Tickets will be sold from September 3-6 before and after school. We hope you will join us for this year’s event!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences begin on Thursday, September 12 and run through Friday, September 20. Remember that during this entire time we will follow our minimum day schedule; students in grades K-6 will be dismissed at 2:07.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Please remember if you use any of our drop off and pick up zones – the sidewalk adjacent to the park, the loop in front of the school, and/or the loop near the kinder area – you need to stay in your car and continue to pull forward at all times. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in any of these areas. Additionally, please stay clear of all red zones in front of and near the school; not only does stopping in these zones impede the flow of traffic and present safety concerns, stopping in these areas can result in being ticketed. Finally, some cars have used the staff parking lot as a waiting or parking area. Please remember that the staff parking lot is reserved for staff members and should only be accessed by non-staff members for the use of marked handicap parking spaces or for before or after school YMCA drop-off/pick-up.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our drop-off and dismissal time.  We appreciate you modeling appropriate and courteous behavior for our Voyagers at all times. Thank you.
