Fall Spirit Month and Red Ribbon Week Recap
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our Student Lighthouse Team who planned and organized our Fall Spirit Month and Red Ribbon Week. Our students took the lead on planning, advertising, and facilitating the various activities. They truly have been great examples of what it means to be students leaders. Here are some of the highlights:

CVESD Mask Policy Reminder

The Chula Vista Elementary School Board revised the mask policy on August 25th at their Special Board Meeting. The mandate states:
- A properly positioned and correctly fitted mask must be worn at all campuses, including District offices, at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
- Adults may only remove masks when actively eating or drinking.
- Masks must be worn if anyone is around, students or staff, vaccinated or not. This includes parents/guardians who may be walking their students onto campus.
- Parents must wear a mask when on campus including in the parking lot and near our entry gates.
- Students may remove their masks only to play at recess/PE and to eat. Masks are required in hallways while traveling to and from the playground and lunch area.
Students will be required to wear a mask when they enter the campus, walk in the hallways, and wait in line in the morning. Thank you for your cooperation and support with following these new protocols.
