Yearbook Update

As you are aware, the delivery of yearbooks to Clear View has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are expecting yearbooks to be delivered in approximately 2-3 more weeks. Once yearbooks arrive, we will schedule and communicate a pickup date. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please read the following information:

  • Extra yearbooks will be delivered. If you are interested in obtaining a yearbook, but have not already purchased one, please email Mrs. Merghart (kristen.merghart@cvesd.org) and Mrs. Castro (elizabeth.castro@cvesd.org) to be placed on the waiting list.
  • In the email please include your child’s first and last name and teacher’s name. The waiting list for purchasing an extra yearbook will be developed in the order of emails received. Please note that being on the waitlist does not guarantee you will be able to purchase a yearbook. We will sell the extra yearbooks to those on the waiting list until they are sold out.
  • We are not entirely sure how many of each type of yearbook we will be receiving, but the cost of hardcover yearbooks is $30 and paperbacks $25. Cash only payments will be collected when the yearbooks are ready to be picked up.
  • We will provide another update when we hear more about when the yearbooks will be delivered.

Clear View Weekly News – June 1 – 5

Hello Voyager Families,

First and foremost, I hope your family is staying safe and doing well at this time. It is hard to believe that we have reached the final week of the 2019-20 school year. The past quarter has been one that we will never forget in our lifetime. As sad as I am that this school year has come to an end without the ability to spend the final days together as a school community, I am proud of the way our staff, students, and families worked extremely hard to make the most of distance learning and persevere through the challenges that we all faced. That says a lot about the Clear View school community! I look forward to the day we are able to open our doors and resume teaching and learning on campus.

Take great care,

Ray DeVore

Distribution of Student Materials and Belongings

Last week we had a great turnout for our materials distribution. Thank you to everyone who stopped by; it was great to see many of you again. On Tuesday, June 2 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM we will have one more distribution event. Anyone who has not yet picked up their child’s belongings is welcome to come. The distribution will take place in the pick up/drop off loop in front of the school. Please wear a mask and stay in your vehicle during the process.

*We will also be collecting library books; please return any library books that you have at home.

Last Day of School

Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 3.  All students (including promoting 6th graders) may continue to use Achieve 3000 and others district/school provided programs over the break to continue reading and learning.

Students who checked out a laptop from Clear View will return the device when school reopens.  CVESD is also working on creating grade level summer learning plans that families can use over the summer break if they choose.  You can visit www.cvesd.org for more information.

Over the summer, I will continue to post updates on our School Blog.  The link to the School Blog is https://clearviewvoyagers.edublogs.org/.  Subscribe by clicking on the right side of the screen.

We want to wish you all  a terrific Summer Break!

Clear View Front Office

At this time, the Clear View office and school remains closed to the public.   Over the next two weeks and throughout the summer, our front office staff will be working to close out the 2019-2020 school year and prepare for the 2020-2021 school year.  We will be in the office and available to receive phone calls over the next two weeks before closing for summer break.

Leader in Me

Parent Survey

Clear View is conducting a survey to learn more about our implementation of Leader in Me. The survey will help us identify the key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. The survey data will also help us track the impacts of the Leader in Me process and implement key practices more fully. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all staff members, parents/guardians, and students in grades 4-6 to participate. Below is additional information about the process and content of the surveys.
Parent Participation: If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the link below. The link will remain open through June 5. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child’s experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth.
