Staff Appreciation Week

It is time to recognize and honor the Clear View teachers and staff for the amazing work they do for our students and families. Their hard word and dedication to students has been evident even more so as they have prepared for and transitioned into distance learning. Although we are unable to celebrate our staff in person, the Clear View PTA has helped organize a way for our school community to virtually recognize and celebrate our teachers and staff. I encourage you to participate – a little appreciation goes a long way!
Please share pictures of your participation throughout the week. Pictures can be:
- Tweeted; please tag @CVVoyagers
- Emailed to clearviewvoyagerspta@gmail.com to be posted on Facebook
- Emailed to ray.devore@cvesd.org to be posted on Twitter
Registration, Residency, Zone Transfers and Enrollment Survey
Do you have questions about registration, residency verification, zone transfers, and/or enrollment? Please read below to get those questions answered.
Online Registration: This process is only for NEW students to Clear View for either the 19-20 or the 20-21 school year. Visit the CVESD website for instructions. LINK Current Clear View families DO NOT need to complete this process.
Residency Verification: For CURRENT families, this process is ON HOLD at the moment. Many of you want to provide proof of residency to ensure that your child is placed on a class roster for next year, but we do not want you to worry about this right now. When we finalize the process for providing proof of residency, we will let everyone know!
Zone Transfers: Some of our Zone Transfers were completed before school closure, and some were still pending. If you are awaiting a response, please be patient. You will get notification from the District if your ZT was approved soon.
Leaving Clear View?: We need your help in planning for the NEW school year. To assist us, please let us know if you will not be returning to Clear View for the 2020-2021 school year. This does not include current sixth grade families.
Questions? If you have any questions, please contact our school secretary, Elizabeth Castro at elizabeth.castro@cvesd.org
Leader in Me

This week we will be focusing on Habit #4: Think Win-Win. Think WIN-WIN means everyone can win. Instead of thinking about YOU and ME, win-win thinks about BOTH OF US, finding solutions that will benefit everyone involved. This habit is about working together with others in order to achieve the highest results possible. It’s about embracing a mindset that focuses on cooperation, not competition. According to Dr. Covey, it is essential to think win-win in order to manage our relationships with others effectively.
HOW CAN I THINK WIN-WIN IN MY LIFE?
- Be Cooperative – Have an open-minded attitude instead of a “my way or the highway” outlook.
- Be Considerate – Think about what other people want, not just what you want.
- Be a Good Problem Solver – Find ways to make both sides happy without having to compromise.
Here are a few books that help you learn more about thinking win-win. We encourage you to listen to these stories and identify examples or non-examples of thinking win-win. Have a discussion with your child about what we can glean from the story about thinking win-win:

- District and school staff will start “Grab and Go Distribution” of meal bags at 10 a.m. and will stop once all bags are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
- Meal bags will contain two days of servings each on Monday and Wednesday.
- Bags will be placed into automobile trunks—they will not be handed through vehicle windows, unless absolutely necessary, for the protection of both our staff and the vehicle occupants.
