Leader in Me

The students and several staff members have teamed up to create our Leader in Me wall that is being put up in our front office. We are so excited about this work of art and are grateful for the the time and effort many individuals have invested into this project.

For the next two weeks of school we will be focusing on Habit #4: Think Win-Win. This habit is about working together with others in order to achieve the highest results possible. It’s about embracing a mindset that focuses on cooperation, not competition. According to Dr. Covey, it is essential to think win-win in order to manage our relationships with others effectively. Over the next two weeks, collaborate with your student(s) about decisions that need to be made and discuss ways that you can implement the idea of thinking win-win.

Please join us for our November ELAC meeting.  Our meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 13th at 9:00 am in the Auditorium. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. At our meeting we will talk about ways you can support your child with math at home. We hope to see you there!

Leader in Me

This week we will continue to focus on developing Habit #3: Put First Things First. First things are the things you personally find to be most important in your life. According to Dr. Stephen R. Covey, “Putting first things first means organizing and executing around your most important priorities. It is living and being driven by the principles you value most, not by the agendas and forces surrounding you.”

We encourage you to talk to your kids this week about what it means to put first things first and look for ways to live this habit as a family/at home.
