Leader in Me Parent Survey

Clear View is conducting a survey to learn more about our implementation of Leader in Me. The survey will help us identify the key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. Although participation is voluntary, we hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, please think about the oldest child’s experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth.
The survey link below will remain open through June 4.

DASH Program Applications Available Now

Verification of Residency

This year our annual verification of residency will be online.  Families should look out for an email this week that will provide instructions on how to verify residency for the 2021-2022 school year.  This will need to be completed before students are placed on a roster for the upcoming school year.  Verification of Residency only applies to returning students.

CVESD Virtual Academy Applications Available

We are looking forward to bringing all of our staff members and students back for traditional in-person instruction for the 2021-22 school year, and we are also aware of parent interest in their children continuing in an online instructional model, similar to distance learning. A few weeks ago, a survey was sent to collect interest on this instructional model and many parents/guardians indicated they would like to explore this option.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District is excited to launch the CVESD Virtual Academy for the new 2021-22 school year. The CVESD Virtual Academy will provide students in Chula Vista with an independent study option as an alternative instructional strategy to meet and enhance their individual student strengths, needs, and learning styles.

The CVESD Virtual Academy is a voluntary program and parents/guardians must apply for enrollment during the application window. Applications to the CVESD Virtual Academy must be submitted online from May 25 through May 31 at 5 p.m. For a detailed Parent Overview on the Virtual Academy as well as Frequently Asked Questions, please visit the CVESD website by clicking here.

Click here to apply to the CVESD Virtual Academy. Application period is from May 25 – 31.

COVID-19 Testing at Clear View

On Wednesday, May 26 we will provide on-demand COVID-19 testing once again, which means that we are accepting “walk-ins”—no appointments are necessary. Here is important information on the CVESD COVID-19 Testing Program:

  • Testing will occur at Clear View on the following days: 26th, and June 9th
  • Testing will occur from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with no testing from 10:50 – 11:20 due to staff lunch times.
  • If your student is experiencing symptoms, we highly recommend getting a PCR test at a free County facility or with a medical provider, and not reporting to the school for the antigen test. Unfortunately, the antigen tests used by CVESD cannot be used for return to work or school, per the County’s Symptom Decision Tree. The antigen testing program is for surveillance purposes, in order to quickly determine if individuals are positive and remove such individuals and their close contacts from campus as soon as possible. Contact our school health office for more information or discuss your child’s symptoms.
  • At this time, we can only test staff and CVESD students. No family members are able test at this time.
  • You do not need to be with your child in order for your child to test under our program; however, if your child walks up to the testing location, we will not be able to test them unless you have signed the on-line consent form at the link you are provided. We highly recommend that you accompany your child to the testing location. A reminder that testing for all staff and students is 100% voluntary and optional. We will not provide a COVID-19 test for a child without parental permission and consent.
  • Links that are sent to you are personalized for your specific student and shouldn’t be shared with others.
  • If you have trouble registering/providing consent for your child through the link, please call the district office at (619) 425-9600 and speak to Sherry Stone at ext. 1327 or Theresa Fletcher at ext. 1027 or visit the testing staff on-site at our school and they will be able to help register and test your child during your visit.
  • Because we are not taking appointments, we know there may be long lines before and after school. Please take this into account when planning the time have your child tested.   Please be patient with the testing team and listen carefully to their instructions.
  • If your child is attending in-person hybrid and you are planning to participate in the testing program, please plan to do so before or after class. Students will not be excused from class to participate.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus on our campus.

Leader in Me Parent Survey

Clear View is conducting a survey to learn more about our implementation of Leader in Me. The survey will help us identify the key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. The survey data will also help us track the impacts of the Leader in Me process and implement key practices more fully. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all staff members, parents/guardians, and students in grades 4-6 to participate. Below is additional information about the process and content of the surveys.
The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the link below. The link will remain open through June 4. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child’s experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth.
