COVID Clinic Update

If your child participates in our weekly testing each Monday, please read the announcement below from Covid Clinic:

We will continue to test free of charge. The government requires our school and Covid Clinic to ask if parents have insurance or are uninsured. Please fill out the form below. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED!!! https://secure.covidclinic.org/insurance/

Please watch this detailed video: https://vimeo.com/699606532

IMPORTANT: We have provided COVID-19 testing for you or your dependents during the COVID-19 pandemic. A new California law (SB 510) took effect January 1, 2022, and requires California private insurance plans to pay for ALL COVID-19 testing received by you and your dependents at any time during the COVID-19 pandemic, at no cost to you. Additionally, federal funding via HRSA will no longer cover testing for those without insurance. To make sure you and your dependents receive the benefit of this new law, and so you do not receive a bill from us for COVID-19 testing, we need your insurance information now. Once you provide us with accurate insurance information, we will bill and accept payment from your insurance plan (at no out of pocket  cost to you or your dependents) for any COVID-19 testing received from us in the past or in the future. But without your accurate insurance information, we cannot help you and your dependents to receive the benefit of this new law.

Please contact Covid Clinic at k12@covidclinic.org with any questions.

State and Local Measures Testing

End-of-Year testing will take place throughout the fourth quarter. Pictured is our testing schedule (TK will only take the Smarty Ants assessment; testing date will be shared soon). Local Measures are district level assessments to show growth and CAASPP (Grades 3-6) are state-wide assessments. Local Measures consists of Smart Ants (Grades TK-2), Level Set (Grades 2-6), and iReady Diagnostic (Grades TK-6).  These assessments are similar to what students have taken this year at both the beginning and mid-year.

CAASPP was last administered at the end of the 2018-2019 school year. We encourage you and your child to look at/talk about the types of questions that might be asked on the assessment. You can click on the link below and view the practice tests per grade level.  Grades 3-6 will be tested in Language Arts and Math.  Fifth grade will also be assessed in Science.

Clear View News – April 4 – 8

The 4th Quarter Begins on April 4th

4th Quarter begins today | Carbon School District

We hope everyone has had a safe, fun, and restful break! The Clear View staff is excited to welcome students back for the start of the 4th quarter on Monday, April 4. Monday is a minimum day for students in grades K-6th (8:45 – 2:07).

Updated CVESD Mask Policy

On March 9th, the CVESD board voted to remove the indoor mask mandate for students and adults effective March 21st. Parents, staff, and students will now have the option to wear or not wear a mask indoors and outdoors. The board decision is aligned with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) which no longer requires K-12 schools to have students wear masks indoors. Upon returning from Spring Break, students and staff may go without a mask outdoors and indoors while at school. We encourage that staff and students continue wearing masks, but the use of masks is optional, and is a personal choice. We would like to remind our community that if you are feeling sick, it is important to stay home and get tested, as not to put others at risk of COVID-19 or other illnesses.

We strongly encourage all families to test their student(s) within 24 hours before returning to campus on April 4, 2022. Positive tests over the break can be reported using this link:
